How Wiggly Junior handles family information.

What Wiggly Junior is

Wiggly Junior is a supportive tool for families. It is not treatment, medical advice, or an emergency service.

Information we use

We use the grown-up's sign-in and verified email, managed family profiles, names, avatars, the operator's required birth month and year, optional child birth month and year, parked thoughts and Today items, Plan tasks and steps, check-ins, routines, stars and reward events, school checklist state, superpowers, and reading-aid settings.

If you use speech, a European speech service processes the audio live in the EU to turn it into text. Wiggly Junior does not store the recording or add it to family data or the JSON export. We store only text you choose to save.

For paid plans we keep a non-secret subscription and entitlement status. Payment providers keep the payment details; Wiggly Junior does not store full card details.

Why we use it

We use family content to provide the features the grown-up requested, keep each child's space separate, sync progress, support export and deletion, and keep the service secure.

We do not use child-linked product analytics or advertising trackers at launch. Any future analytics change requires a separate privacy review and an updated notice where required.

Our legal bases are the service contract for account features, parental authorization or consent where required for children's information, legitimate interests for security and reliability, and legal obligations for payment records.

Required and optional information

A verified operator sign-in (13+) and operator authorization are required to use the family features. Without them we cannot create the family space. Operator birth month and year are required. Managed child profiles, child birth month and year, speech, check-ins, school mode, superpowers, and paid billing are optional; the related feature simply stays unavailable or less personalised.

Third-party processing

A European speech service turns spoken audio into text live in the EU and stores nothing afterwards.

Our sign-in provider keeps your email address and login. We store only an account identifier.

Our payment providers keep card and app-store payment details. We store only event fingerprints, never card details.

Our rewards provider receives reward events and is told to erase them when you delete the account or a child profile.

We tell you which providers we use on request. Ask via the privacy email listed under Who is responsible.

How long we keep it

Family content, including check-ins, is kept until the family deletes the account (or a grown-up deletes a child profile). There is no automatic clear-out. We may retain limited billing or provider records when required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or reliable subscription processing. Retention follows the purpose and applicable legal requirements rather than an invented fixed period.

For billing reliability, event logs keep an event ID and a one-way fingerprint, never payment-provider message contents. Log entries become eligible for cleanup after 90 days and are removed during later billing processing.

Your choices and rights

The grown-up can ask to access, correct, restrict, object to processing, or delete family information, and can download a machine-readable JSON export in grown-up mode. Export and deletion are confirmed by a code emailed to the address you log in with. Authorization can be withdrawn by deleting the account. Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful.

For children under 16, a parent or guardian normally exercises these privacy rights. Contact us if a request cannot be completed in the app.

You may complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or your local supervisory authority.

Automated decisions

Wiggly Junior does not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on children or grown-ups.
